Bob Dylan Plans seven-Night NYC Residency at Buoy

Just days subsequently announcing an all-encompassing new U.S. leg of his "Never-Ending Bout," Bob Dylan has now added even more dates–all of them in New York Urban center. The Nobel Prize-winning singer-songwriter will perform a seven-prove residency at the historic Beacon Theatre on Manhattan'south Upper West Side on November 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 and December one. (Dylan previously performed a five-nighter at the venue in 2017.)
The new announcement follows the proclamation on Sept. x that Dylan volition headline opening nighttime of The Met Philadelphia on December 3. Bob Dylan & His Band will be the start deed to play at the newly renovated celebrated venue and marking his 50th Philadelphia-expanse performance.
Originally congenital in 1908 by opera impresario Oscar Hammerstein, The Met Philadelphia is currently undergoing a $56 1000000 restoration to transform the celebrated theater into the crown jewel of North Broad Street's renaissance, which has seen a neighborhood revitalization through several major restoration projects.
In March and April, Dylan performed several dozen dates in Europe. The 2018 bout follows a particularly fruitful year for Dylan: 2017 saw the release of his 3-disc Triplicate, his latest collection of Peachy American Songbook covers, and Trouble No More—The Homemade Series Vol. 13 /1979-1981, a comprehensive collection of music made during Dylan's and so-called Christian era.

More of the old standards from his recent albums have plant their way into his concert setlists of late. On the European dates, many of Dylan'south ain classic rock compositions of the '60s and '70s, such as "Highway 61 Revisited," "Tangled Upwards in Blueish" and "Simple Twist of Fate" have also been featured. Many of the typically xx-song sets have included "Blowin' in the Current of air" and "Carol of a Thin Man" as encores.
